What is Low Nasal Bridge
(Dorsal Augmentation)
Surgery?

The dorsum, commonly known as the bridge of the nose, potentially has the largest influence
on the aesthetics balance of the face. Dorsal Augmentation is an umbrella term for surgeries
which aims to correct various types of nasal structure. It is a method to elevate or straighten
the nose in order to achieve a proportional shape and size for harmony with the face. It is one
of the most common type of rhinoplasty.

Nasal Length and Height An ideal length and height of the nose is pre-determined before the surgery,
considering the proportion and the balance of other surrounding facial structures

Nasal Bridge Skin thickness and the width of the nasal bridge are taken into consideration
when selecting an appropriate implant. Customized implant which best suits
the patient should also be determined prior to the surgery.

Nasal Tip Autologous cartilage is inserted to raise the tip and will be covered with fascia
layer in order to prevent cartilage projection and redness of the tip.
The tip is raised slightly higher than the bridge for an ideal lateral and frontal
profile.
